I got the courage to ask a girl out today thanks to the advice I’ve learned in this sub, and, although it didn’t help me get into a relationship, it also gave me a little bit of determination to keep trying in spite of not finding success today. I thanked her for her time and took my seat (the last available now).
One thing led to another and I finally said, “Sorry if this is a bit forward, but you’re really pretty-would you like to go out on a date sometime?” She gave me a sad smile and said that she already had a boyfriend, but that she appreciated the compliment anyway. Now I’m over the moon with excitement and decided to try the small talk techniques I read on this sub with her hoping that I could eventually ask her out. At this point I was beating myself up thinking that I could’ve started with something better, but she just smiled and apologized saying that she didn’t intend to race me. As she took her seat (one of only two available) I blurted out that she walks extremely fast without even realizing it. She was super tall, equally gorgeous, and I wanted nothing more than to start a conversation with her, but couldn’t find the right start.Įventually, we both reached the train station and, coincidentally, boarded the same train together shortly before it left. I take the train home from my university, and I happened to be passed by an absolutely gorgeous girl about my age as I was walking to the station. I’ve been a long time lurker in this sub and I’ve kept a mental note of all the posts I’ve found that I thought were useful if I ever met a girl I wanted to ask out on a date.
